The game is finally here!
The Total War: Warhammer 3 release date is finally upon us, and you can get to playing what is set to be an epic game - as long as your system meets the Total War: Warhammer 3 PC requirements, of course!
Game director Ian Roxburgh added some last-minute hype to the proceedings on Twitter, saying, "This has been the project of a lifetime at a moment when we've all needed an incredible fantasy world in which to lose ourselves."

"This game is for you," Roxburgh added in closing, addressing the fans directly, "and we thank you for your continued support. See you on the battlefield."

The Total War: Warhammer 3 release date took place on Thursday 17th February 2022 and the game was available here in the UK from 8am.

Is Total War Warhammer 3 on Game Pass?
Total War: Warhammer 3 is indeed on Game Pass, but not for console owners. Being a PC-only game means that it is only available on Xbox Game Pass for PC. Could this change in the future? Possibly. Microsoft Flight Simulator has come to console now so it is not out of the question - but don't count on it.

Now the game is out, how well-received has it been by critics in the reviews? Well, it's largely positive with the Total War: Warhammer 3 Metacritic score sitting at a solid 88 at the time of writing.
There is a perfect score out there with NME giving it 5/5 while the rest from the likes of IGN, PC Gamer, and many more are giving it an extremely favourable 9/10 (or the scoring equivalent).
It would be fair to say then that Total War Warhammer 3 is a critical hit!

As for what else we know, mod support is included in the game, cross-store multiplayer support was included at launch, and the campaign map is around double the size of the one that was featured in the last game - which is quite the jump!

We know of six races that will be included in this new game and they are:
- Khorne
- Nurgle
- Slaanesh
- Tzeencth
- Kislev
- Cathay
There will also be nine legendary lords in the game and they will be there when it launches.
